On February 8, Prime Minister Kaja Kallas made an official visit to Austria, where she met Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer. They discussed our long-term support for Ukraine. Prime Minister Kallas highlighted how Estonia and Austria stand together against the aggression of big countries against small countries. In addition, Kallas pointed out that Estonia is interested in deepened cooperation with Austria in the development of green technologies and digital services. The Prime Minister invited Austrian companies to participate in the Rail Baltic tenders as well, because Austria has good know-how to create a fast and efficient railway infrastructure.
She also took part in the NEOS Lab event, where she was invited to give a speech and participate in a panel discussion.
At the meeting with the managers to Austrian Industries she emphasized that Estonia is a safe and dynamic environment for investments.
In addition, a working lunch was held with Austrian think tanks: AIES President Werner Fasslabend, AIES Director Michael Zinkanelli and Vienna Diplomatic Academy Director Emil Brix.
The Prime Minister also attended the 66th Vienna Opera Ball as a guest of Chancellor Nehammer.
